I am grateful to be able to work from a studio in my home with the support of my husband, children and grandchildren. I have had a real passion for colored glass for years and an appreciation for all kinds of art and the artists. I started out as an art major in college but many years later I had the opportunity to take classes in glass blowing, torch work and glass fusion. I am based in Los Angeles, California and can ship worldwide. Discounts are available for multiple piece orders.
I hope you enjoy the collection of Grateful Glass pieces on this website. I keep adding more work so check back often to see the new pieces.
I believe that art can be both beautiful and functional. Each piece of Grateful Glass will enhance the beauty of your home with stunning, vibrant color and also add to your entertaining experience as you serve your guests food on these bright pieces of glass. Most pieces are dishwasher safe but you can always clean them with warm soapy water and rinse well or use a glass cleaning product. They are scratch resistant and heat resistant.
Each piece of Grateful Glass is handcut and fused with a top layer of lead free food safe clear glass. The first firing in the kiln liquifies the glass at 1450 degrees. The second firing at 1250 degrees will slump, drape or shape the piece into a gentle curve. You can custom order pieces to fit your decor, please allow time for each piece to be made with care and shipped via UPS ground.
I save every left over scrap of glass and recycle them into new pieces. Many pieces of my work are 100% recycled from previous works making them an ecofriendly, green gift.
A unique, one of a kind piece of fused glass is a perfect wedding gift, anniversary or birthday gift for those who are hard to buy for or those you want to give something extra special to. Smaller pieces make perfect hostess gifts, stocking stuffers, teacher appreciation gifts or thank you gifts. Don't forget to add a piece of Grateful Glass to your donation to a silent auction table or gift basket and your bidders will be fighting to win and help your cause!
